Wild Paint House is an art studio tucked away near Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz. As only locals in Dubai know – this rather industrial area of the city is where you’ll find some of the best hidden gems and unique indoor experiences in Dubai.
Al Quoz is home to some of the city’s most incredibly picturesque (and tasty!) cafes, some of the best art galleries in Dubai, and some serious indoor fun, like Wild Paint House.

What Do You Get to Do At Wild Paint Hosue
Divided up into six different creative activities, Wild Paint House gives you the opportunity to try your hand at:
- Splat – Dynamic wall art with a wide variety of tools and techniques
- Spin – Give your canvas a new spin with manual spinning machines
- Swing – Use pendulum art tools on an electric table
- Pour – Acrylic pour-over creations with ceramic bears
- Neon – It’s time to get funky and creative with splat or spin under neon lights
- Graffiti – Legally tag and spray the outdoor walls (winter only)
The overarching theme is that they want you to have FUN and be CREATIVE! They will provide you with the tools and the workspace, along with handy tips on how to get the most from your artwork, but the creative direction you take is completely your own. You can join the freestyle sessions or book in for a group event.
Beginners who’ve never done more than pick up a kindergarten paintbrush will feel equally at home as those with a passion and flair for art who want to hone new techniques. You’ll be left feeling completely empowered to unleash your creative side and try art styles you’ve never attempted before!
So, How Does it Work? Wild Paint House in Action!
You need to pre-book your time slot as there’s only a certain number of artists that can undertake each activity zone at one time. Walk-ins may be accommodated, but they cannot guarantee this.
You will be given a poncho or apron to protect your clothing and protective booties, but it’s highly recommended you wear something underneath that you don’t mind getting a little messy! Lockers are there to tuck away anything you don’t want to be splattered (but for the record, the paint easily comes off everything, including phones and cameras!!)
Staff will brief you and show you a video with some essential safety tips and ideas for the best effects, but it’s entirely up to you then which creative tools you’d like to use on your canvas.
We had a go at each of the activities on offer and suggest you’ll need around 30 minutes for each activity type. For most activities, you can choose up to 5 colours (remember you can blend too!), and then it’s completely up to you how you unleash your creative spirit. We’ve included a gallery of our activities (neon is obviously only available in the evenings!!)

Wild Paint House is open 7 days a week.
- Monday 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM
- Tuesday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Each session you book is allowed for an hour, but if they’re not busy and you’re still working on a creation, you can go over your slot. (This is subject to availability, though, so do plan to be done in your allotted time.)

Coming in your own car, parking is limited but can be found on the corner Al Marabea’ St and 14B Street.
By taxi or Careem, it’s easy to be dropped off just outside and walk down a short laneway.
From the nearest Metro, it’s a good 45 walk, so you may want to get off at Onpassive Metro Station and take a taxi the last little bit.
You are fairly close to Alserkal Avenue and Times Square Mall if you’re looking for a place to eat or add on activities with your trip to Wild Paint House. They have a small selection of drinks for sale but do not provide meals.
What Does Wild Paint Dubai Cost?
There are lots of different packages available depending on how many of you are looking to paint and what items you’d like to take home versus enjoying the painting experience.

There is no age limit set, though obviously, with your younger ones, you’ll need to judge how young is too young! We’d suggest it’s suitable for kids 5+, but you’d need to make your own enquiries if you have younger ones.
It’s an ideal activity for the tween and teen age group in Dubai.

Is the paint ‘safe’ – They use high-quality, child-safe tempera paint from New Zealand. It is non-toxic, enviro-friendly and doesn’t have any unpleasant chemical smells (and if you are wondering whether the littles ingest any, it contains no dairy, egg, gluten, soy or peanuts – not that we’re encouraging them to go take a big lick; but hey, we’re parents too, IYKYK.
Will the paint wash off? Yup, don’t be afraid to get messy. While protection is provided with your clothing, you won’t routinely be issued gloves; you can give yourself a good hose down at the end in their washrooms.
Do you get to keep what you paint? For any of the activities that involve painting a canvas or bear (the acrylic pour), you will get a memento to take home. The graffiti and wall activities, fair game, you really can’t take them with you!
What happens to my canvas? It takes up to 48 hours for your canvas to dry. You can come and collect it between 2 to 10 days after your experience.
- If you want your artworks delivered home or back to your hotel, the charge is AED 35 for up to 5 canvases delivered to your door (+5 AED for each additional canvas).
Can they take group bookings? They also organise kids’ birthday parties with a cute mezzanine floor set aside for groups, and group bookings for corporate events and team building can be accommodated, too.

We’ve done our fair share of indoor activities with the kids over the years, and my teen says that, undoubtedly, Wild Paint House is one of her favourites! We are super proud of our artworks, though maybe self-confessed, we’re a little too meticulous and need to let go a little to try more techniques and risk making a mess of it!!
