Dubai Metro Blue Line – Connecting Dubai By 2029

The Dubai Metro is due to have a 30km long extension added, opening in 2029.

With an estimated cost of AED 18 billion, the “Blue Line” extension will add 14 stations to the existing Metro network in Dubai. It is expected to serve 200,000 a day by 2030, increasing to 320,000 passengers by 2040.

New Stations on the Blue Line Metro

The Blue Line will connect to the existing Red Line and Green Line, which currently end at Al Rashidiya/Centrepoint and Al Jaddaf, respectively. New stations will be added for:

  • Mirdif City Centre
  • Al Warqa’a
  • International City 1
  • International City 2 & 3
  • Dubai Silicon Oasis
  • Academic City
  • Ras Al Khor Industrial Area
  • Dubai Creek Harbor

The complete network will be 131 kilometres long with 78 stations and 168 trains.
